We are fortunate to have several couples who choose to combine work and love on a daily basis. This unique dynamic brings unexpected benefits, all with a good dose of complicity. The presence of our couples enriches our corporate culture. Their example shows that love and work can not only coexist but also flourish together. The mutual respect and support they provide each other are values that permeate every corner of our company, thanks to our inspiring couples! Without further ado, we share with you the story of three couples:
Nathalie has been part of the PRD team for five (5) years now, as a pre-retirement. A year later, her partner wanted to leave the company where he had been working for 35 years. He wasn’t ready to stop working, but he wanted to slow down and no longer be in a stressful position. That’s why Nathalie referred her partner Yves to the big PRD family. It was a perfect match and for the past four (4) years, the couple has been coming to PRD every morning, happy to meet their team!
With the ever-increasing cost of living, Nathalie and Yves like the fact that they can travel together, and they have thus opted for a new lifestyle with only one car. They have also developed a social circle with whom they have fun, even outside of office hours.
At the time of writing these lines, Patrick has been part of the PRD team for a year already! For him, it’s a second life and a second career. Originally from Montreal and moving to Quebec City to follow his two boys, he wanted a change in his career. Coming from the aeronautics industry where he had a career with a certain pressure, Patrick also wanted to slow down. A few months later, a position opened up at PRD and Patrick’s partner was very eager to join the team. Louise’s integration went smoothly since her partner was already part of the team.
The couple is used to working together since a few years ago, they ran a restaurant together, so the PRD experience is a return to their roots!
Paul is very new to our team and has literally fallen in love with the PRD culture. After a few weeks, Paul invited his partner, Manon, to have lunch with him in our beautiful lunch space. That’s when Manon also fell for the exceptional atmosphere and synergy we have. Paul quickly went to the HR team to tell them: as soon as a position opens up that matches Manon’s profile, I would love for you to consider her application. A few weeks later, Manon had a friendly meeting for a position and now she is part of our team! When she arrived, it was as if she had always been part of the team!
In the end, having several couples within our company is a source of pride… Their ability to balance roles as colleagues and partners demonstrates that love can be a contributing factor to professional success. We are proud to support our couples and celebrate their contribution to our team!
